Have The Witness Available for Questioning

Video Transcribed:  Are written statements by witnesses enough? Hi, I’m Eric Strocen. I’m a lawyer in Muskogee with the Wirth Law Offices, and I’m here to talk to you today about this important topic.

People always come in and tell me, “Hey, I can get someone to write a statement about this.” Or, “I have a statement written by somebody.”

It’s not fair for them to have this piece of paper that says, “Hey, they swear.” So that the court would rely on that, and it would be something that I’m objecting to from the other side. So it is much better to have your witnesses available.

What attorneys like is when you take your witnesses’ names, phone numbers, and addresses, get them to us and let us know their importance.
