Your License Is Automatically Suspended upon The Arrest

What happens when you get arrested for a DUI? Hi, I’m Muskogee Lawyer Eric Strocen here to talk to you today about this topic. I wanted to talk to you today about this important topic because I think that some people get it wrong in terms of thinking that their criminal case will necessarily affect the status of their license.
What I don’t want to see happening to people is, you get a message or some kind of correspondence from the Department of Public Safety that your license has been suspended because of a DUI when you either got it dismissed, got on a deferred sentence, or served your time on it.
What you need to understand is, that your license is automatically suspended upon that arrest. Sometimes they get backed up and don’t send the letter out, but that’s the process. You have 15 days to act from the arrest in order to have any ability to prevent that.
If you have any questions on this topic or want to talk about your confidential situation with me, please reach out to the Wirth Law Offices or contact us online at muskogeeattorney.com.
