The Tribes Are Separate Sovereigns with Their Own Requirements

Can any lawyer represent you in tribal court? Hi, I’m Eric Strocen. I’m a Muskogee attorney with the Wirth Law Offices. I am licensed in the Cherokee nation and I plan on expanding outside into other tribal jurisdictions as I go through in my career. But the answer to that question is no.
The tribes are separate sovereigns with their own requirements. They operate as independent governments in a lot of ways, who are dependent on the United States government but have their own requirements, rules, and jurisdictional boundaries.
If you find yourself having an issue in a tribal court, it’s important that you have someone who is licensed to practice law in that tribe to represent you. Like I said, right now, I am licensed in the Cherokee nation, but plan on expanding into further jurisdictions as time passes on.
So if you have an issue in tribal courts or state court of Oklahoma, any jurisdiction for that matter, please reach out to me to speak with an attorney in Muskogee muskogeeattorney.com.
