Any person who participates in a marriage in Oklahoma while also being married to someone else is guilty of a crime called bigamy. You cannot be married to multiple persons at the same time. That doesn’t mean that you have to stay in a marriage longer than you want to or desire to.
It just means that if you’re going to end the relationship, you need to make sure you cut that legal tie.
