The Short Answer Is Yes

Can you sue someone for breaking a promise? I am Muskogee Attorney Eric Strocen. The short answer is yes, you may have a claim for someone who broke a promise to you.
Now, depending on the nature of that promise, we may have different types of the cause of action that could be brought. The most common that I see is a breach of contract.
Basically, there was a contract that existed, we had an agreement that was a legally enforceable agreement, that had all the elements required to have a contract met. However, one party didn’t really hold up to their promise and now the other party is aggrieved and there are damages.
Now, if you’re someone who has suffered damages because of a broken promise, contact us at the Wirth Law Offices. Reach out to us over on 428 Court street in Muskogee or visit us online at muskogeeattorney.com.
