Do you need to take that interview with law enforcement? Hi, I’m Muskogee Lawyer Eric Strocen here to talk to you today about this topic.
You are in a position of great vulnerability legally, if you get contacted by someone who represents any kind of law enforcement agency and you step into that interview unprepared, without proper representation.
The thing is, if you go in there and start speaking to them, and aren’t aware of all of your rights, the things that they might already theorize you may have been a part of, you risk incriminating yourself, even sometimes when you’ve done nothing wrong.
It’s important that if you are going to take an interview with law enforcement, that you speak to an attorney and maybe have one join you for that meeting if you should be even taking it at all, but that’s something we can talk about in a confidential meeting.
