All Lawyers Have a Duty to Protect the Courts Integrity
Video Transcribed: Should I be telling my attorney the entire truth? Hi, I’m Eric Strocen. I’m an attorney in Muskogee, Okla with the Wirth Law Offices, and I’m here today to talk to you about this important topic. For us to legally and ethically represent you, we have to protect your confidentiality.
We have to make sure that your business is your business and that we are a custodian of that business. Even the things that aren’t pretty, even the things that aren’t agreeable, the only limitation to that is we can’t perpetuate lies to the court.
At the end of the day, all lawyers are officers of the court and we have a duty to protect its integrity, but with that being said, it is important that you pick an attorney that you feel you can talk to. Someone you feel you can be candid and open with because you don’t want them showing up unprepared for it.
With that being said, it is important that you are honest with your attorney, and if you have someone that you’re not able, to be honest with, that might not be the person for you. If you have a legal matter and you want a listening ear, somebody to represent you who’s willing to listen, please reach out to the Muskogee Criminal Defense Attorney at the Wirth Law Offices.
