An Attorney Can Do Pre-filing Representation
Video Transcribed: What can a lawyer do for you when charges are not filed, but there’s an investigation ongoing? Hi, I’m Eric Strocen. I’m an attorney in Muskogee, Okla with the Wirth Law Offices. We’re here to talk about what a lawyer can do for you when an investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed against you yet.
It’s a really stressful and difficult time, and the more support you have the better. The thing about that support you want is you want someone you can be confident in, and you want someone who can keep your information private. You don’t want to be talking to all your cousins and friends about your case.
You don’t want to be talking to random strangers who may have been through it before. You want to talk to an attorney. You want to seek their advice. You want me to be able to funnel the story to the investigator so that you’re not sitting there in front of law enforcement, or DHS, in a room by yourself with people who do this on a regular basis poking you with questions. And you may say something to incriminate yourself, or otherwise harm your interests without even realizing that happened.
What we do here is we do pre-filing representation in which I step in during the investigation, we funnel our communication through me with law enforcement. That way, you’re not having to face that pressure alone. If you have a criminal matter you’re needing assistance with, please reach out to the Muskogee Criminal Defense Attorney at the Wirth Law Offices.
